Learn how Twelve Data provides access to ASX market data

Written by Bogdan Marinovich

ASX market data overview

Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) provides market data on equities, ETFs, and other asset classes in 20-minute delayed and end-of-day (EOD) formats. The requirement for licensing depends on how the data will be used:

  • Display: Data is shown directly to clients or end users, such as on platforms, dashboards, or portfolio apps.
    Verdict: License required.

  • Non-Display: Data is processed internally for analytics, algorithms, or risk models without being presented to end-users.
    Verdict: No license required.

  • Redistribution: Data is passed on to external parties, incorporated into third-party services, or delivered via APIs or feeds, whether visually or programmatically.
    Verdict: License required.
